IMPRINT#LOVE is continuing its journey!
Do you want to come on board?
IMPRINT#LOVE is a project that started back in 22 and was developed in 23, 24 with the support of ACE. It is now continuing its journey in a slightly different format.
The project: IMPRINT#LOVE is a creative writing workshop, a performance, a sharing space, a love party, an in-progress book. It creates an opportunity to reimagine love and its practice; love in its all inclusiveness, for one’s self, for partners, friends, community. It holds a space for coming together to treat love as a new territory to be discovered, as an active practice and as a script we are all co-writing right now.
The event: In an IMPRINT#LOVE event the audience/participants are engaging with a creative writing task. That is to complete a love manual consisting of 9 ‘Love Axioms’ inspired by 9 improvised micro-performances that unravel in front of them. After all 9 performances are completed a space where participants can share some of their writings and engage in discussions is facilitated. Upon the participants/writers' agreement the writings are collected and compiled in a collective love manual that is then shared back to them. All participants' writings & the collective love manuals composed are archived with the intention to be turned into a book.
Moving forward: We are looking for dancers & movers who enjoy and feel confident with movement improvisation to join a small pool of IMPRINT#LOVE improvisers. When an IMPRINT#LOVE event is planned you will be contacted and asked about your availability. For every IMPRINT#LOVE event a few improvisers will be asked to attend. We will be meeting half an hour before the planned start time to warm up and discuss. During the event we will improvise on music, with props, and/or in response to a specific task. Our improvisations will be the prompts for the participants/writers to complete their creative writing task.
Note: The audience/participants are charged a small fee (ticket) to attend an IMPRINT#LOVE event. These go towards covering the space hire & materials. After paying for these, if there's any more income generated it will be shared among the improvisers. Please note it is very likely that this might be a very small contribution. IMPRINT#LOVE events will mainly take place in London.

IMPRINT#LOVE is a participatory dance project where audience members are guided into composing writings in response to a series of nine micro-performances. At the end of the performances, the audience/participants are invited to join in a relaxed post-workshop session that creates space for sharing some of their writings and engaging in conversations around love.
Upon the participants' consent, the writings are gathered and shaped into an e-book that is then shared with those in attendance. All writings and e-books get archived and added to the Love Manual; an in-progress collection of love writings created as part of this project.
